Rising Ash:
A Dabi Bang

Guidelines

🔥This is a Dabi-centric event. Works will be expected to be centered around him. Any ship is allowed but Dabi must be the focus. Any version of Dabi will be accepted, this includes any AU interpretations. This event welcomes ALL ships and ALL content. The only requirement is that you meet the artist/writer minimum by the posting date and you tag and rate appropriately.🔥 Check-Ins will be conducted in your team channels with the mods. You will receive an emoji at each check-in to mark you’re completed in order to keep track and avoid copious amounts of forms.🔥 Pinch hitters will be assigned as needed if a writer or artist drops out.🔥Please tag your work appropriately.🔥Let a mod know ASAP if you haven’t been credited.🔥 To maintain the element of the bang, please keep discussions of ideas in the appropriate artist or writer channels. All works must be new works. No previously published works. All bang related discussions should be kept within the server.

[Writers]

🔥You are to create one written piece of work of at least 3000 words. You are more than welcome to exceed this. Fics must be completed up to the minimum word count and include your artists’ chosen illustrated scene.🔥 You must credit the artist you work with, along with a link to the artist’s work. If you also worked with a beta, they must be credited as well.🔥When posting, the fic must be added to the Bang’s AO3 collection. You can also post it for any other site, but please mention that it’s for the Dabi Bang.

[Artists]

🔥 Artists must create one piece of art that is either:
- Lined with flat colors & a minimal background (digital illustration)
- Outlined with flat colors & a minimal background on unlined paper (traditional illustration)
- Two photos of a half-body costume of a single character with a simple backdrop (cosplay).
- 6 songs relevant to the plot/themes of the fic (playlist),
- At least 6 images that are relevant to the plot/themes of the fic. Please only use free use images, source all items. (moodboard)
🔥 You must mention the fic and author in your post, along with a link to their work.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

🔥What is a bang?
A bang is a collaborative event between artists, writers and betas to create content for a fandom, theme, character, or ship. This bang is to showcase romantic and platonic relationships between Dabi (Touya) and other My Hero Academia characters.
🔥What is the difference between a traditional or reverse bang?
A traditional bang is when writers submit summaries for an artist and a beta, should they choose to have one. Atists will choose what summaries they'd like to create art for and betas will choose which summaries they would be interested in betaing for. The mods will then match a writer, artist, and beta if requested, to a team based on claims. Creators will then work together to create a fic/art for the event. A reverse bang is when an artist submits a sketch/summary concept and writers create a story based on the art.
🔥What does proship/profic mean?
Proship is essentially, live and let ship. It's an understanding that while you may not like or prefer a certain ship/content, you're not going to permit other people from doing so just because you don't like it. Profiction falls under a similar category in that it's letting people create whatever they want because at the end of the day, it's fiction. As long as they properly tag, it's up to the invidiual to curate their fandom experience. Proship/profic is being kind to everyone, even if they create content you don't personally vibe with.
🔥What rating of content is permitted?
Since this is a profic event, we allow all content, including dark or problematic, as long as it is properly tagged for the event.
🔥How do I sign up?
On February 16, there will be a signup post on the twitter page. You'll fill out the form and then join the discord. As the event will be ran through discord, we are requiring all participants to join the discord.
🔥Can I sign up for more than one role?
Yes! There will be a sign up form once sign ups start on February 16th and you will be allowed to select as many roles as you'd like. Depending on how many signups we get, we may only be able to guarantee one team per person, though.
🔥I have too many ideas! Can I write more than one fic?
Unfortunately, this will depend on signups, as we cannot guarantee there will be an even number of writers/artists in order to allow more than one. We would like to, though!
